What to expect
- Month 1Set upProfiles, goals, tracking and first posts
- Months 2 to 3Find what worksTest formats and topics, keep the winners
- Months 4 to 6Build momentumSteadier reach, more messages and referrals
- After 6 monthsCompoundA library of proof that keeps working
This is a common pattern, not a promise. A business with great visual work and fast replies moves faster than one starting from zero.
Why results swing
- Platforms rank each post on its own merits.
- New posts reach a small test group first.
- Seasons and local events change how people scroll.
- Platform updates change what people see.
TikTok says follower count is not a direct factor in For You recommendations. That cuts both ways. A small account can break out, and a large one can have a quiet week.
Measure the right way
Compare month to month, not post to post. Watch reach, profile visits, messages and leads together. If they rise over a quarter, the work is paying off, even when single posts disappoint.
Good example. A roofer posts job videos twice a week for four months. Reach is uneven, but storm-season inquiries from Facebook double.
Bad example. A roofer quits after three weeks because two posts got few likes. The page goes quiet before it had a chance.
