What clients check

What buyers and sellers check on a real estate website

Visitors arrive from online search, a yard sign or a referral, and they decide fast. Six answers keep them on your real estate website instead of a portal.

Can I find homes here?

Property search by price, beds and home types, with a map view and saved searches on any phone.

Do you know my neighborhood?

Neighborhood pages with schools, commutes, recent sales and photos that show real local market knowledge.

What is my home worth?

Give sellers a reason to call you before they list, with a short price estimate request.

Who would my agent be?

An agent or realtor bio with license information, languages, neighborhoods served and client reviews.

How fast can I see it?

A showing request button on every property page, with text and call options close by.

Can I trust this brokerage?

Brokerage name, license details and fair housing links, placed the way your state rules ask.

First impression

Buyers tour your website before they tour the home.

A slow page or a broken search sends visitors back to the online portals. Our real estate website design keeps them browsing your listings.

Portfolio

A large local site we launched in one month

Realty offices and agent teams grow sites with hundreds of neighborhood and property pages. This home service build for a pest control company in Texas shows how our design team handles that scale.

Platforms

How we pick the stack for a real estate website

The right tools depend on your IDX provider, how many agents in your group publish and how often listings change.

FrameworksThe site itself
  • AstroFast neighborhood and agent pages with little JavaScript.
  • Next.jsLogged-in areas where buyers find saved homes.
  • NuxtVue-based builds with server rendering.
  • SvelteKitLight tools like a mortgage payment widget.
CMSWhere agents edit
  • KeystaticNeighborhood pages edited with a full change history.
  • SanityRealtor and office data shared across pages.
  • StrapiSelf-hosted content for a large brokerage.
  • PayloadListings, agents and content in one app.
  • WordPressA familiar editor that many IDX plugins support.
Each option comes with the same speed work, lead tracking and schema. The code and hosting account stay in your name.
Examples

Examples of real estate sites done right

Good real estate website design serves three visitors at once. A buyer wants homes, a seller wants a price, and both want an agent they trust. These examples show how a modern site handles each one.

Want buyers and sellers from search?Rankings for neighborhood searches come from SEO, not website design alone. Our real estate SEO plans run from $4,500 a month.Real estate SEO

Types of real estate websites we build

Here are examples of each type, from real estate agents working solo to a full brokerage.

    Agent sites
One agent with their listings, reviews and favorite neighborhoods.
    Team sites
A group of agents building one brand, with a page per member.
    Brokerage sites
A realty office or agency with many agents and offices.
    Luxury sites
Fewer listings, bigger images and private showing requests.
    Property management sites
Rentals, owner reports and maintenance request forms.
  2. 02

Real estate property pages that sell

    Big images first
Sharp listing images that load fast on a phone.
    Key information up top
Price, beds, baths, size and taxes before the long text.
    Video and floor plans
A walkthrough helps visitors decide before a showing.
    One clear request
A showing button that reaches the listing agent quickly.
  3. 03

Pages that turn searches into leads

Best realtor near me rose from 8.1K US searches in November 2025 to 18.1K by April 2026. Your realtor bio and neighborhood pages are the parts of a real estate website that answer those visitors. Real estate agents need them to load fast, helping each visitor take one clear step. Neighborhood pages also help buyers find you before they find a listing.

  4. 04

IDX rules every display must follow

Every real estate website that shows IDX listings follows MLS rules for that information. NAR's IDX policy asks each display to identify the listing firm in a reasonably prominent spot. It also shows the email or phone number the listing broker provides, in type no smaller than the median listing text. Participants must refresh IDX downloads at least every 12 hours. We design property cards around those rules from the start.

  5. 05

State advertising rules on the page

Florida wants the licensed brokerage name in every ad, placed beside the contact details or directly over or under them online. New York applies its ad rules to every page, search results included. Each agent or team homepage needs links to the brokerage website and the Fair Housing Notice. We build these details into the page templates, so every new agent page follows the rules by default.

  6. 06

    Team names in New York

New York team names must include the word team. The rule bars other words like associate, realty or group, and it bars the names of unlicensed people. If your current team name says realty or group, plan the change before the redesign.

  7. 07

    Fair housing in every line

Federal law makes it illegal to publish a housing ad that signals a preference tied to a protected class. Those classes are race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status and disability. Neighborhood copy describes homes, schools and commutes, never the people who should buy there.

  8. 08

    A page for buyer agreements

NAR changed its MLS rules on August 17, 2024. An agent who works with a buyer now signs a written agreement with that buyer before any home tour. Compensation offers left the MLS, and fees stay negotiable. A plain buyer page explains the agreement before the first showing, helping buyers feel ready.

  9. 09

    Luxury real estate website design

Luxury buyers expect a slower, richer experience. Examples include large images, video tours, a quiet layout and private showing requests that fit that market. We keep luxury listing pages fast even with heavy media, so the design never drags.

  10. 10

    Property management websites

Property management firms serve owners and renters at the same time. Owners want fee details, monthly reports and tools to request a rental analysis. Renters want available homes, an application link and a maintenance request form. Each group gets its own path from the home page, so nobody digs through the wrong menu.

  11. 11

    Market reports for building trust

Monthly market updates give visitors a reason to return. Good examples cite each figure to the report it came from, such as your local REALTOR association's monthly sales and inventory numbers. Our study of Orlando home prices follows that approach.

  12. 12

Modern website design that stays fast

Google's targets are a Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds and a Cumulative Layout Shift below 0.1. We check every real estate website template against both before launch.

  13. 13

    Template or custom?

IDX vendor templates put many agents on the same layout, so visitors can't tell them apart. A custom real estate website design shows your brand, your neighborhoods and your people. You keep the code, even if you switch brokerages or your marketing agency. Your team can still edit every page in the CMS without a developer.

Real answers

Agents ask about real estate sites

Cost

What does a custom real estate website cost?

Our real estate builds begin at $11,000, paid once. Agent count, neighborhood pages and IDX features set the final price, and the quote lists every cost.
Basics

What makes a good real estate website?

Fast property search, useful neighborhood pages, real agent bios and a clear way to request a showing or a home value. It also follows your state and MLS rules.
Features

What features does a real estate website need?

IDX search with saved searches, neighborhood pages, agent pages, a price estimate form, showing requests, reviews and a CRM link that tracks all leads. Agent pages should load as fast as the home page.
IDX

Can you add IDX listings to a custom real estate website?

Yes. We connect the IDX provider your MLS approves and design the search pages around its rules, including the listing firm information on each property. The feed refreshes on the MLS schedule.
Agents

Do real estate agents need their own website if the brokerage has one?

Not always. A strong agent page on the agency or brokerage site can be enough. Real estate agents who farm one market may want an online home of their own.
Timeline

When can a new brokerage site launch?

About one month after copy, photos and logins arrive. MLS approval of the IDX feed can take time, so we request it early.Read the full answer →
