Before launch
- Every form submits, sends its emails and reaches the CRM.
- Phone links dial the right number on mobile.
- Each key event fires once in GA4.
- Every old URL redirects to its closest new page.
- Each page has its own title, description and headings.
- Every image has compression, the right size and alt text.
- Lighthouse passes on mobile for the main templates.
- Privacy policy and other legal pages are live.
On launch day
- Point the domain and confirm HTTPS works.
- Remove noindex tags and staging blocks.
- Test a sample of old URLs for redirects.
- Send the new sitemap to Google through Search Console.
- Submit a real test lead from a phone.
Read what happens on launch day for the order we follow.
After launch
- Day 1Smoke testForms, calls, tracking and redirects checked live.
- Week 1Watch indexingSearch Console checked daily for errors.
- Weeks 2 to 4CompareTraffic and leads compared with the old site.
Google's site move guide recommends watching Search Console closely after a move. Expect some ranking movement until Google has recrawled the new pages. A steady drop on specific pages usually points to a missing redirect.
Good example. A clinic launches on a Tuesday morning, submits a test booking from three phones and checks Search Console daily for two weeks.
Bad example. A clinic launches late on a Friday and finds on Monday that its booking form sent every request to an old email address.
Our web design team runs this checklist on every launch and stays on call in the weeks after.
