Metrics at each stage
- VisibilityImpressions, queries and average position in Search Console.
- VisitsOrganic clicks and engaged sessions in GA4.
- LeadsCalls, forms and bookings tracked as key events.
- RevenueLeads that became paying customers in your CRM.
Each stage explains the one below it. Rising impressions with flat clicks point to weak titles. Rising clicks with flat leads point to the page itself.
The metrics we report every month
| Metric | Where to find it | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Impressions and clicks | Search Console Performance report | Whether Google shows you and people choose you |
| Queries and pages | Search Console Performance report | Which searches and pages bring the visits |
| Organic key events | GA4, filtered to organic search | Calls, forms and bookings from SEO |
| Profile actions | Business Profile performance | Calls, direction requests and website clicks |
| Indexed pages | Search Console Page indexing report | Whether your important pages can rank at all |
| Leads and sales | Your CRM or call log | What SEO is actually worth |
Metrics that mislead on their own
- Average position. It blends hundreds of queries into one number.
- Total traffic. Visitors from outside your area never buy.
- Domain scores. Tool ratings that Google does not use.
- One ranking check. Map results change from street to street.
Set up tracking before you judge SEO
Mark calls, form submissions and bookings as key events in GA4. Use call tracking numbers on the website, and keep your main number on your listings. Without this setup, an SEO report can only show traffic, never the leads behind it.
